Singapore-based Calfarme (Singapore) Pte Ltd has extended its presence in China with the setting up of a manufacturing base in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.

"The new facility is not meant to replace our manufacturing sites in
Singapore and Malaysia," said Neo. "The R&D will still be
done mainly in the Southeast Asian facilities." Neo revealed that the new manufacturing plant would put out a new range of products with different designs specific for the Chinese market. He foresees that it would take about two years for his company to penetrate the market and establish a strong presence. The company is also offering wastewater treatment products for pollution control and sewerage systems based on its range of bio-enzymatic products. "China’s single culture and the size of the market makes it very attractive to be here," explained Neo on the new venture. "We are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to do well here." The new facility will be located in the Sci-Tech Business Incubator,
high-tech industrial park in Jiangdong District in Ningbo.
