Franchisor of the Year Award, Calfarme (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a first-time
recipient of TDB's Franchise Excellence Awards. The company is in the business of manufacturing and distributing washroom hygiene-related products. In addition, the Singapore-based company is also a service provider in areas such as rental, servicing and maintenance of washroom equipment. "Calfarme is very pleased to receive this recognition. Before we went into franchising, we were able to establish market leadership in countries where we worked with company-owned operations," said Managing Director Paul Neo. "This past achievement, together with initial successes in franchising in the last two years, and now winning this award, validate our confidence that we have what it takes to be the leading washroom hygiene company in the world." New Opportunities: Calfarme's strategy today is to focus on research and development and manufacturing, while the franchisees take care of the marketing, distribution and servicing aspects. In the next two years, the company seeks to convert current service businesses in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines to franchise operations. Calfarme also plans to recruit Master Franchisees in at least eight other countries: three in Europe, one in South Africa, one in Australia and New Zealand, two in China and one in North America. |
